Applicants from the People’s Republic of China should apply directly to Biberach University with
- a completed application form
- a detailed curriculum vitae dated and signed
- a certificate confirming their university entrance qualifications
- and a German language examination certificate
both have to be certified by the University Examination Board in Beijing
Furthermore a residence permit for study purposes (student visa) is required.
Application deadlines for Biberach University:
winter semester: 15th July
summer semester: 15th January
We only accept applications which have been examined and certified by the University Examination Board (the so-called Akademische Prüfstelle, APS) of the German Embassy in Beijing. After examining your documents and after holding an interview the University Examination Board will issue a certificate which you have to send to us together with your application form.
At the same time you can also apply for a visa at the University Examination Board – otherwise at a later date. Applying for a visa in this way will speed up and simplify the procedure.
Chinese applicants with university entrance qualifications from German Institutes for International Students do not need to have their documents certified by the University Examination Board. They can apply directly without having a certificate issued by the University Examination Board. Chinese applicants who have already taken examinations at German universities and want to change their university do not need a certificate from the University Examination Board. Chinese applicants who are already in Germany when applying also have to get a certificate from the University Examination Board.
They have to send officially certified copies of their documents to Beijing for examination by the University Examination Board.

Application deadlines for the entrance test, assessment test, DSH German language examination and assessment of university entrance qualifications at the Institute for International Students in Konstanz is 1st May for those wanting to start in the winter semester and 1st November for those wanting to start in the summer semester of the following year.
The administration fee is 100,50 € per semester.
As our courses are mostly held in German, foreign applicants should have a very good command of the German language.
