That is, when it really starts: the registration

registration

When registrating as a student (enrolment) the applicant becomes a member of the university.
You find the enrolment date in the admission letter. For the enrolment process all documents
listed up in the admission letter are needed.

confirmation

If the student wants to continue the studies, he/she has to confirm the continuation within the set
deadline of the university (§ 57 Abs 1 FHG).
The confirmation is declared by the transfer of the amount of money per semester to the Studentenwerk
and other public-legal demands.
As a confirmation of the correct response the student receives an enrolment adequate certificate

suspension

With the help of a request students can be suspended, if adeqaute reasons justify it and if it is handed in
before the start of the semester.
The period of suspension should not exceed the duration of 2 semesters and is not added to the regular
time of studies.

standard period of studies

The regular period of studies is 7 semesters including a training semester and the bachelor thesis.
Study time which was spent on the same subject but at a different university is imputed to the regular time of studies.
Other studies are imputed only partly or to the full extent depending on the subject being similar or equal to the one at
the home university.

termination of studies

The studies are finished with the removal from the register of students.
Due to this the membership of the university is also finished asl.

A student is removed from the register of students, if:

1. the final certificate has been given to him/her
2. the demanded subject-based requirement has not been achieved or he/she is not
admissioned for different studies
3. an belated obstacle in terms of admission occurs
4. the continuance of the studies becomes impossible due to the cancellation or a shifting

A student can ex officio removed from the register of students, if:

1. an belated obstacle in terms of admission occurs
2. he/she, without being suspended, does not confirm the continuance of the studies within the
set deadline of the university

final title

After completing the studies sucessfully the university awards the title of:

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) building climate
