To keep an overview and to organize, coordinate and control single processes in an optimal way - that is the task of the project manager. Clear and extensive switched methods and techniques for planning, controlling and monitoring as well as practical projectwork prepare the students for the future and the complex requirements that are asked. A preparation that is focused on practical training and fundamental knowledge on the topic. |
Comprehensive and multidisciplinary
At the Biberach University, the tools and methods in the study Project management are taught interdisciplinary (for example civil engineering). Costs - dates – quality during the controlling part of the project are also asked in many different other fields. The job-possibilities are versatile: Project management-graduates are, apart from the classical job- opportunities in construction compagnies, project control-offices and planning agencies, also asked in other sectors of industry like banking, authorities, etc. |
Individual and specific
The students design and organise their own individual study plan and manage their own time. They have their obligated subjects and the possibility to deepen their knowledge with a study of Infrastructure or civil engineering. They are accompanied by professors and learning instructors. You get study- and job advice for the future. |
Regional and international
The study, the department and teachers of project management cultivate a close network with building contractors in the region and further, as well as with planning- and project management offices. The department of project management is in exchange with other Universities –for instance in England, Finland and Georgien-, through their contacts, co-operations and exchange-programms. The students experience the possibility of uncomplicated international exchange in Europe. International experience is desirable during study and working life. This is why we organise excursions to China, Brazil and Portugal for example – that is complex project management! |
Practical and scientific
The study project management is a practical-orientated study with the basis of civil engineering and research. It offers, -in close co-operation with multidisciplinary institutes of the Biberach University that support the study with their laboratories and workshops-, practical worksituations. The teachers and professors of the study project management stay in close contact with research and business. A study with real projects,on which the students work and investigate. |
