To keep the overall view and to organize, co-ordinate and manage processes in an optimal way – that is the task of a project manager. Methods and techniques for the completion and management of (large-scale) projects as well as project oriented events, to become more practical knowledge, prepare the students for the complex requirements in their future. This all accompagnied with seminars and pilot schemes in teamwork.
Content of the basic elementary study:
Social competence (Methods of negotiating, team training, decision making, control, intercultural and international relationships) Contracts and administration (contract management, FIDIC, rights of construction contract procedures, PPP models, risk management, claim management) Economics for PM (business arithmetics, statistics, SAP, finance/ balance, international trade relations)
Organization (intergrated PM, business plan, strategic marketing, controling and acting in large-scale projects) Dates - Costs (scheduling, financial management, process management, calculations of production costs)
Electives:
Building -infrastructure (tunnelling, bridging, railway construction, PM within the environmental field and the effluent disposal) Building construction (prefabricated building, project development building construction, industrial building construction, project completion building construction)
Pilot schemes/ seminars: Problem solving in a team, on the basis of practical projects. The projects are focussed on building - infrastructure or building construction in the first two terms. |
