Specific characteristics of Master studies

  • Internationality is taken literaly
  • Best practice in international comparison
  • Integrated comprehension i concentrating on certain points

    Internationality is taken literaly
In our Master studies we consider internationality literaly: organisers from three countries and border-crossing studies: one week in Zurich and four weeks in London - London South Bank University, in a central position in the centre of an exiting and strongly developing part of the City of London.

    Best practice in international comparison:
Specific competence in international management ist a factor of success, because more and more real estate companies have crossing-border activities. In Germany, the real estate branch becomes also more and more professional. Real estate business is strongly influenced - especially from developing and changing methods in Anglo-saxon real estate markets. This can be shown by the methods of evaluation, calculation of profits, financing or the active search for new investment strategies. Specific international competence is not only required for international transactions, but it constitutes also an important platform for a creative development of the own professionality as well as for the capacity to consider critically traditional and new approaches.

Integrated comprehension in concentrating on certain points:
Understanding and not only comparing - that is our motto. Large imersion in strategies of selected countries seems more important to us than a superficial comparison of many countries. Only the interaction of the whole framework of real estate conditions and its specific methods offers good perspective of possibilities of realisation and advantagesd for other approaches and strategy of the own activity. To our opinion, a very good knowledge of two particular countriesgives you the best foundation to comprehend the business practice in other countries.

However, a founded knowledge of a familar economy system is still necessary. In our case, we choose the professional standards of German real estate economy to start with. Later we focus on the British real estate market, taking the London market as an example. The participants will even stay during 4 weeks in London where they are introduced and become familiar with the particularities of methods and strategies of the British real estate market. They also visit enterprises and simulate by means of dynamic case studies how to deal with projects in foreign countries and how to act as an international investor. But they also learn some economic particularities of other countries, e.g. USA and France and get to know some specific aspects of further countries, e.g. in Eastern Europe or in Asia.
