With the Bachelor International program at HBC, you don’t just meet these expectations – you stand out. Every bachelor student has the chance to spend a year abroad and combine study with real-world work experience.
How does it work?
You’ll spend one semester studying at one of our partner universities, where you can deepen your subject expertise or explore new areas to broaden your qualifications. In the following semester, you’ll complete an internship abroad, gaining hands-on professional experience while working in an international team.

At our partner universities, you can enjoy all the benefits of studying abroad without worrying about tuition fees. The HBC International Office will support you throughout the process – from your application to your stay abroad – and is always there to answer your questions.
Freemover – create your own path
Do you want to study somewhere outside our partner network? As a freemover, you can apply directly to almost any university worldwide, as long as you meet their requirements. Keep in mind that tuition fees may apply, and the entire process must be organized independently. If you’re considering this option, start by checking the website of your chosen university and then get in touch with their International Office for details.

Where can you go?
Internship semesters are possible all around the world. To make the most of your experience, start planning early – ideally six months to a year in advance. This gives you time to research opportunities, apply for positions, and organize everything from visas and insurance to accommodation and travel.
