Objectives (Learning Outcome): Gain knowledge about:

  • renewable energies, especially in Germany and the building materials for
    the construction of wind turbines
  • Fire Safety Engineering
  • Neotectonics and earthquakes
  • Vulnerability and resilience in the context of natural hazards
  • Heavy rain and flood management

Lecture topics (content): Changing topics. For example:

  • Renewable Energies
  • Sustainability and Science Communication
  • Natural Hazards and Resilience
  • Digitalization
  • Technical Communication & Presentation
  • Laboratory test (structural tests and building material testing)
  • Field trips (Hydropower, wind plants, special engineering structures)

The topics are worked on in international groups with students from partner universities.

Project processing in individual and group work
At Hochschule Biberach and within international online lectures together with a student group from Cal Poly Pomona (CA, USA).
